As part of SF Heritage’s revamped membership program, Special City, you will support our crucial work of protecting San Francisco’s historic places and receive access to exclusive content and experiences.

  • Early notification about limited-capacity SF Heritage programs

**update January 2026: those who signed up as members under our previous program within the past year have been automatically included as a Special City member at the Local Hero level and contacted separately. If you are unsure about your current member status, please email Hannah Woodall at hwoodall@sfheritage.org.

Terms and Conditions

1. We don't refund memberships in part or full, or allow them to be transferred to a different person. This includes renewed Memberships with a future start date.

2.Memberships can be cancelled anytime through your Ghost account. If you need help cancelling your auto renewel membership, please email info@sfheritage.org before the membership expiration date. We won’t retrospectively refund the membership fee once the membership has automatically renewed.

Memberships paid for by credit card renew automatically each month or each year (depending on your selected plan) unless you ask us to cancel. We will give you lots of notice before your renewal.

3. Discounted or free tickets for public programs and events are limited and subject to availability.

4. Some events with SF Heritage won’t have priority booking, a membership discount, and/or waived booking fees. For some events, the number of tickets available to Members during priority booking will be capped, to ensure that some tickets are available for general sale.

5. Local Hero and Landmark Club members get up to two discounted tickets to eligible events, one for themselves and one for a guest. Any additional tickets bought for an event or program won’t be discounted. Further restrictions may apply for some events, so please check the individual event page.

6. Local Hero Members get one free ticket to the Haas-Lilienthal House per tour day. For Landmark Club Members, it's two free tickets to the Haas-Lilienthal House per day (one for the member and one for a guest). Membership does not guarantee entry if tickets have sold out for a particular time slot. You must show a valid membership card (this will be mailed to you if you provide your mailing address to us) upon entry or use your special member code to purchase tour tickets online.

7. We have the right to amend or withdraw any benefits or discounted tickets at any time.

8. We have the right to cancel a membership without refund if you break the terms and conditions of membership, tickets sales, or entry.
